These rules are designed to ensure that all content on our platform is truthful, respectful, and compliant with the laws of Uganda.

TellTap’s model strengthens Ugandan-owned micro, small, and medium enterprises, increasing their visibility, credibility, and customer reach in a rapidly digitalizing economy.

By submitting a review on TellTap Uganda, you confirm that you:

• Are at least 18 years old or have legal authority to post content.
• Have read and understood these Terms & Conditions.
• Agree to comply with Ugandan law and these guidelines.

• All reviews must reflect your genuine personal experience with the business, product, or service.
• False, misleading, or exaggerated claims are prohibited.
• Negative feedback must be factual and, where applicable, verifiable.

Legal basis: Posting false or defamatory statements may violate the Penal Code Act (Cap 120) on criminal libel.

• Do not share personal information of other users, employees, or individuals without consent.
• Do not post images, videos, or recordings that violate another person’s privacy.
• TellTap respects personal data according to Ugandan laws and data-protection standards.

Legal basis: Unauthorized sharing may violate the Computer Misuse Act 2022 and privacy protections.

• Reviews must not contain content that:
  • Threatens, harasses, or intimidates individuals.
  • Demeans or discriminates based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, or other protected status.
  • Promotes violence or unlawful activity.

Legal basis: Violations can constitute offences under the Computer Misuse Act 2022 and other relevant laws.

• Do not review your own business or that of competitors with the intent to manipulate ratings.
• Reviews must not be disguised advertisements or promotional content unless fully disclosed.
• Do not use false identities when submitting reviews.

Legal basis: Using false identities online or misrepresenting content is punishable under the Computer Misuse Act 2022.

• TellTap Uganda reserves the right to remove or edit any review that:
  • Violates these Terms & Conditions.
  • Breaches Ugandan law.
  • Threatens the safety, privacy, or rights of individuals.
• Reviews may be reported by users and will be investigated by TellTap moderators.

• Users are solely responsible for the content they post.
• Posting content in violation of these terms may result in:
  • Removal of the review.
  • Account suspension or termination.
  • Criminal or civil liability under Ugandan law.

• Focus on providing factual, helpful, and constructive reviews.
• Include relevant details like visit/purchase date, service/product quality, and context.
• Avoid offensive language, irrelevant commentary, or political/religious debates unrelated to the service.

• Users may report any content that appears to violate these Terms & Conditions.
• TellTap will investigate reports and take appropriate action, which may include review removal and legal reporting.

By submitting a review, you acknowledge that you:

• Will comply with Ugandan laws, including the Computer Misuse Act 2022 and Penal Code Act.
• Understand that violations may lead to removal, account termination, or legal consequences.
